CHARLES GERLACH APPOINTED VP, ENGINEERINGFOR HYDRA-SPORTS®

Sarasota, Fla., Feb. 13, 2006 - Hydra-Sports® boats has announced the appointment of Charles "Chip" Gerlach to Vice President of Engineering.
Gerlach, who most recently served as General Manager of Marine Concepts in Cape Coral, FL, has more than 18 years of experience in the marine industry including naval architecture, marine engineering, propeller design, and boat design, development and sales.
"Chip brings a great deal of experience and a proven history of success to this position," said Dean Samuelson, president of Genmar Saltwater Fishing Boat Group. "We're looking forward to his contribution."
Gerlach worked in various management positions at Michigan Wheel Corporation, Grand Rapids, Mich. in the Outboard, Sterndrive and Inboard divisions and at Attwood Corp. in Lowell, Mich. as senior design engineer. He was a naval architect and systems manager/drafting resources manager for a Wisconsin-based boat builder and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
