SARASOTA, Fla., December 14, 2005 -- The new 2200CC by Hydra-Sports® is redefining what a fisherman can expect from a 22-foot center console.

"When we designed the 2200CC, we set out to build a 'no compromises' boat that brings standard features and performance usually found in much larger boats to this size class," said Chris Wainscott, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Hydra-Sports.

The 2,800-pound hull (dry weight) measures 22'4" with an 8'6" beam and comes factory pre-rigged for one of 11 power choices up to 250 hp. The 142-gallon fuel capacity combined with fuel-efficient outboards by Mercury, Evinrude and Yamaha give this boat an impressive range.

Fishing features include stainless steel rod holders, a 31-gallon bait-well, built-in tackle center and large insulated fish-boxes forward.

The hull has a broad bow flare and a 20-degree dead-rise at the transom, resulting in a smooth, dry ride in choppy seas. Like other Hydra-Sports Vector models, premium gelcoat, bi-axial fabrics, woven roving and Kevlar reinforcement protect the solid fiberglass hull. The all composite grid structure consists of an integrated composite transom and fiberglass foam filled stringer system.

"Perhaps the most impressive thing about this boat is how short the options list is," says Wainscott. "This boat comes well-equipped and ready to fish."

Standard features include forward and midship cockpit bolsters, self-contained head, full instrumentation, VHF radio, hydraulic tilt steering with custom aluminum wheel and knob, trim tabs, stainless steel toe rails and much more. The boat also comes standard with a custom fiberglass-reinforced T-top package, including PFD storage, spreader lights, rod holders, electronics flat, LED navigation lights, trumpet horn, and red/white dome light.

Popular options include four hullside colors choices (Fighting Lady Yellow, Midnight Blue, Predator Green and Platinum Gray), a canvas enclosure and a premium electronics package.
