BY POPULAR DEMAND: THE NEW HYDRA-SPORTS® 2900VX
2/17/05
SARASOTA, Fla., February 4, 2005 -- The new 2900VX from Hydra-Sports packs some of the most popular features of the best-selling 3300VX into a more compact package that is certain to be a highlight of this year’s boat show season.
Like all Hydra-Sports Vector and Bay Bolt boats, the 2900VX features a Kevlar®-reinforced hull and a soft, comfortable ride that leads its class. At 29' 8" with a 9' 8" beam, the 2900VX weighs in at 8,000 lbs. and can handle up to 600 hp. on the transom. Its 300-gallon fuel capacity will help fishermen reach prime offshore fishing grounds.
"Fishermen have come to expect superb quality and fishability from a Hydra-Sports," said Hydra-Sports president Dean Samuelson. "And the 2900VX, doesn't disappoint. This boat will put many of our most popular features within reach of more fishermen than ever before."
The 2900VX boasts double clamp hoses, submersible-rated electrical connectors and premium materials throughout. Designed for the serious offshore fisherman, there are generous bait boxes, plentiful rod holders and a powerful re-circulating baitwell, all positioned exactly as they should be.
The 2900VX is not just a powerful fishing platform, though. Like the 3300VX, this boat has comfortable accommodations in the forward cabin and is available with a generator, air conditioning and a luxurious Brazilian cherry/maple cabin floor.
Other popular options include four color choices (Fighting Lady Yellow, Midnight Blue, Predator Green and new Smoke Gray), a canvas enclosure, a premium electronics package and ten engine configurations. Engine choices include twin outboards by Yamaha®, Evinrude® or Mercury®.
As with any boat manufacturer that is committed to ongoing product improvements, specifications, options and equipment are subject to change without notice.
