Hydra-Sports® has announced the introduction of two all-new models to its product line for 2005. The new entries round out the company's premium Lightning, Bay Bolt and Vector Series of saltwater fishing boats, and include the Vector 2500 Center Console and Vector 2500 VX Express.

Both models ride on an aggressive deep-V hull form with an 8' 10" beam, flared bow, reversed chines and pronounced spray strakes, all designed to deliver a smooth, dry ride in offshore conditions. Each features generous seating capacity, cockpit courtesy lights, a large recirculating baitwell and sink recessed into the transom top, and a large open cockpit with built-in tackle storage, fold-away seats and large fish boxes. The helm station on both models includes a standard VHF radio and space on the console for the owners' electronics.

The center console version offers a standard outrigger-ready T-top with overhead electronics box and storage for PFDs, a helm leaning post with double bolster seat and Lee rod holders and a self-contained head enclosed in a side-entry console compartment. On the 2500 VX Express model, an outrigger-ready hardtop is standard; the cabin encloses a cushioned V-berth, removable table, self-contained head and galley cabinet with butane stove, sink, and cool box.

Like every Hydra-Sports model, each new 2500-series boat features a Kevlar®-reinforced hull to meet the demands of offshore fishing, and an extra-large fuel capacity to reach prime fishing grounds. Hydra-Sports is among the first U.S. companies to meet the ISO 9001 Standard, documenting compliance with rigid manufacturing and design process guidelines.
