Hydra-Sports Boats Launches 23 Bay Bolt
1/31/07
SARASOTA, Fla., January 31, 2007—Bay boat shoppers at this year’s Miami International Boat Show, scheduled for February 15-19, will find practically everything on their shopping lists available on the new 23 Bay Bolt by Hydra-Sports®.
The 23 runs fast, far and shallow carrying a full-day supply of bait. The beamy fishing platform is 8’ 10” wide with a 22’ 11” LOA. With a 10” engine-up draft and 3,100-pound dry weight with power (approximate), and a 77-gallon fuel capacity, this boat is built for tournament-grade bay fishing.
“The 23 Bay Bolt is our most exciting offering to date in the competitive bay-boat category,” said Chris Wainscott, senior vice president and general manager of Hydra-Sports. “It won’t surprise me to see this boat making headlines on the tournament circuits as its predecessors have.”
Factory options include all of the most popular bay fishing amenities, including a 6 inch jack plate for shallow running, Power Pole™ shallow water anchoring system, and a trolling-motor pre-rig—even an upper-station tower with controls, gauges and spreader lights. A T-top with rod holders, spreader light and zip-out storage, underwater light, potato bin-type storage, leaning post with 30-gallon baitwell, freshwater wash down, forward casting seat, console cooler seat, Bimini top, Lenco trim tabs and more allow each fisherman to configure the 23 Bay Bolt to fit his needs. Add a Raymarine A65 or C80 electronics package and a Sirius® satellite radio and this boat is ready for a pro-quality fishing experience straight from the dealership.
The impressive standard features list includes wood-free construction with hand-laid fiberglass lamination, premium gelcoat, pre-cut bi-axial fabric, woven roving and Kevlar® reinforcement in the hull and stringer system, and a composite transom. Electrical connections are submersible-rated with weather-resistant switches and water-tight breakers. The transferable limited warranty covers the hull for ten years and most component parts for three.
Fifteen power choices include 150 to 300 h.p. outboards by Yamaha®, Evinrude® and Mercury®.
Other standard features include large aft seat with removable backrest, a large, 32-gallon baitwell/release well aft and 15-gallon baitwell forward, in-floor cast net storage, an insulated fish box, two four-drawer tackle boxes, lockable storage for 8 nine foot rods, stainless steel prop and a raw-water washdown.
Hull color upgrades are available in Fighting Lady Yellow, Glacier Blue, Midnight Blue, Atlantic Blue, Platinum Gray and Gravity Black, all with Vector™ in-mold graphics.
