Hydra-Sports Boats Launches New 3500VX and 19 Bay Bolt

SARASOTA, Fla., October 11, 2007—Hydra-Sports® Boats is launching two new models for 2008: the new flagship 3500VX and a 19 Bay Bolt.
“Our design team pulled out all the stops with the 3500VX,” said Chris Wainscott, senior vice president and general manager of Hydra-Sports. “You can tell this boat was designed by fishermen for fishermen who want the best of the best.”
With a large, open cockpit, center command console and spacious cabin forward, the 3500 is the largest vessel ever to bear the Hydra-Sports lightning bolt logo. Its fishing credentials are impressive: storage for 30 rods, standard hardtop and 40-gallon baitwell, two massive fishboxes, optional outriggers, tuna tower and Pro Package with an additional 55-gallon baitwell and tackle center. Of course, there’s a transom door for welcoming ponderous pelagics aboard and a toe kick for the fight. An optional heavy-duty side dive door and underwater lights are available for those who would rather take the fight to the fish.
The 3500 is 34’ 10” overall, with an 11’6” beam and 23-degree deadrise. There are 10 power options available with dual or triple outboard configurations from 500-900 h.p. by Yamaha®, Evinrude® or Mercury®. The company’s performance tests with twin Yamaha F350s produced a top speed of 50 m.p.h. and a cruising speed of 31.2, with a range of 340 miles on 372 gallons of fuel. Dry weight is 15,074 lbs. An optional Raymarine® electronics package with sonar, GPS and chartplotter assists with navigation and the optional bow thruster makes docking a snap.
For comfortable cruising, the 3500 features deluxe power helm chairs and an L-shaped lounge seat, tankless (continuous) water heater, air conditioner and Vacuflush head, all standard. Popular upgrades include bow sunpad, cockpit misters, summer kitchen package (grill, icemaker, and additional storage), and a 7.3 k.w. generator. The boat is luxuriously appointed with Corian® countertops in the galley and head and an optional cherry/maple cabin floor. For entertainment, there is a Sirus® satellite radio system with iPod® input, optional cockpit subwoofer, and an optional LCD TV/DVD set.
If you’re a 19’ bay boat, the last thing you want is to be introduced next to the company’s flagship 35, but the 19 Bay Bolt certainly won’t miss the discerning eyes of inshore fishermen at this year’s boat shows. This new design is wide open from stem to stern, with large, angler-friendly casting decks and a full, nine-inch gunwale for true 360-degree fishability.
Fishing features include a 35-gallon baitwell/release well, castnet storage forward, two integrated tackle boxes and raw-water washdown. Buyers can upgrade to tournament class with the optional 15-gallon pitch baitwell forward, fore and aft casting seats, trolling motor (or pre-rig), jackplate, Powerpole, and poling platform. An optional Ramarine electronics package includes 6.5” color display with HD fishfinder/chartplotter and VHF.
Both models feature wood-free construction and integral composite transom, hand-laid fiberglass with Kevlar® reinforcement and an Integrated Structural Grid System, as well as the Hydra-Sports 10/3 limited warranty. Both are available with hull color upgrades: Fighting Lady Yellow, Glacier Blue, Midnight Blue, Atlantic Blue, Platinum Gray and Gravity Black.
